L.16, HT 30, DeWitt CE 1834-4. Gulian Verplanck. Brass, seemingly Copper plated. Very Fine. Gubernatorial candidate's bust l., eagle. Deeply toned, old scrape on the cheek. Plating scraped at one place on the edge to reveal Brass underneath. F.C.C. Boyd thought this was struck in copper on a constricted flan. No doubling on arrow shafts or head.
