Obv. Blank shield in trophy of weapons. Rev. Regimental emblem in circle of battle honors, unnamed. Beautifully toned in deep coin silver gray with traces of iridescent blue. The award was instituted in 1819 and discontinued in 1838. The 79th was stationed in Canada 1825-32 and 1848-52.
