MIXED COLONIAL PAIRING. Connecticut. June 1, 1780. Twenty Shillings. No 4362. Signed by William Pitkin and John Chester. A hard note to grade, since it is embedded in lucite and was probably used as a paperweight. Cut-out cancelled in the center; Massachusetts. May 5, 1780. Seven Dollars. No.247. Signed by Thomas Dawes and Samuel Henshaw and guaranteed by Nathaniel Appleton. Crisp Uncirculated, but has been cut-out cancelled with a triangle-shaped piece missing from the bottom. Nice margins and great color. 2 pieces.
