1794 Overton 101a. (R-3+). Choice Very Good. Pale rainbow tones encircle the steel gray obverse for a wonderful look. Blue and green tones cling to the reverse rims with the central areas being a pale silver gray. Signs of a very old cleaning are present, particularly at the reverse, but the surfaces are still quite attractive. The coin has no marks that are worthy of mention and is well struck. The reverse rim is complete and over half of the obverse rim is present. All design motifs are quite clear on this well circulated example. The date is a trifle weak at the bottom but is complete. An attractive example of this two-year type and the first year of issue for Half Dollars.
