MI-29. Major General Ulysses S. Grant Medallion, 1863. Copper, 102.2mm, 10.1mm thick. By Anthony C....MI-29. Major General Ulysses S. Grant Medallion, 1863. Copper, 102.2mm, 10.1mm thick. By Anthony C. Paquet for John Antrobus of U.S. Treasury. Choice About Uncirculated. Obv. Uniformed bust l. in broad ornamented borders. Rev. Stylized river with steamboats surrounds Columbia seated on rainbow, battle honors VICKSBURG, DONELSON, CHATTANOOGA. Last Congressionally-mandated military medal. This piece is without the usual bronzing, smooth reflective surfaces show much faded mint red, one obverse hairline.
