 1883/2 Breen 2524. FS #5¢-013. Die #1. Extremely Fine. Most examples of the 3/2 overdate that are in the general marketplace are actually 1882's with a filled '2' in the date. Several overdated dies are known, but Die #1 is the strongest and most avidly sought, and the Cherrypicker's Guide writes that ''Die #1 is worth approximately 25% over others.'' This well-struck, medium gray specimen is problem-free and will surely please its new owner.
