 1875 Misplaced Date. FS# 3¢N-006.5. Choice Brilliant Proof. An interesting variety that has an errant '1' punched high and to left so that it is protruding from the front of Liberty's neck. This scarce variety is not listed in Breen and is usually found on business strikes. This example has smooth hard surfaces and has been boldly struck, as should be expected of a Proof coin. The color is a pleasing slate gray.
