1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 38-c. Very Good/About Good. 142 grains. Off-round planchet shows a shallow clip at 7:00. This obverse shows a startlingly bold second impression of the date a millimeter or more below the regularly positioned digits. The reverse is distinctly cruder and less detailed.
