This hand-written letter discusses payment for and shipment of 2,400 medals from New York City to Portland, Maine. Elaborate blue-ink letter shows beautiful calligraphy but some interesting spellings, including ''came'' for ''come,'' and ''mone'' for ''money.'' Outstanding condition, a window into the operation of this great 19th century medal firm.
