Columbia welcomes triumphal visit. This was one of the Prince's early post-war world tours and triggered one of New York City's first gala ticker-tape parades. Struck by Medallic Art Co., serial #74. Red-brown patina.
The Prince received this medal in Gold, later featured in Sotheby's sale of Duke & Duchess of Windsor memorabilia. Flanagan designed the Washington Quarter in 1932.
