Type NA-1, Betts 568. About Uncirculated. Obv. Jones bust r. Rev. Sea fight USS Bonhomme Richard and HMS Serapis. Signature DUPRÉ F. appears on both sides. Deep red mahogany, struck by Paris Mint prior to 1841. This remarkable die state shows a strong obverse rim cud from 8 to 10:00, impinging on legend over NNI PA. An even bolder reverse cud from 8 to 9:30 extends well into the design at the left.
