TRINIDAD. British Capture of Trinidad Centennial Medal, 1797. Silver, 47.7mm, 55.4 grams. BHM 3623. Choice Extremely Fine. Obv. Uniformed facing bust of Sir Ralph Abercromby. Rev. The mole at Port of Spain from the Colonial Seal. Britain seized this Caribbean island from the French just after the Betts era. Reflective with steely toning and a few hairlines. (Est. $150-$200)
