Jefferson Nickel 1964'D' Brilliant Uncirculated. Late state capped die. This occurred when a coin stuck to the obverse die became flattened by successive strikings against incoming blanks. The result is the obliterated obverse from a deterioated capped die. Rare. ANACS MS60.
