
1787 Connecticut copper. DBL. M.33.43-q. R-5+. Fine. The Miller Sale Coin. 120.1 gns. The obverse a natural pale olive brown, the reverse cleaned bright orange red, subsequently lacquered. The obverse surface microgranular most everywhere, some light marks on this side; the reverse appears microgranular but the surface condition cannot really be ascertained exactly. Edge dented, visible on the obverse at 4:00. The reverse probably cleaned and lacquered to aid in its attribution.
