CH AU |
$5,750.00 |
Choice About Uncirculated, very close to Mint State. This example of the only variety of this scarce date displays substantial lustre on both sides and vivid multiple die clash on the reverse. One of only 47,150 struck in the wake of the War of 1812, the last Half Dollar coinage before the January 1816 fire at the U.S. Mint that damaged the rolling and coining equipment. NGC AU55. |

1827 O.104. Unfinished Stripes. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated
|
VERY CH BU |
$2,600.00 |
Star 13 nearly touches drapery, first three stripes are incomplete where they approach the shield border. Rich lustre flashes under pervasive gold, deepening to old-gold at the peripheries. The filament states ELIASBERG, but examination of the April 1987 catalogue shows no O.104 in the sale of the Eliasberg Collection. NGC MS64 ELIASBERG. |

AU |
$100.00 |
About Uncirculated in strict terms of wear and detail. Broad, stubby '5' in 50 C. identifies this reverse. Pearl gray with hints of rose, a glass finds hints of a past cleaning. |
