Gem Matte Proof GEM MTE PF $3,500.00 Microscopically sharp in every particular, this beautifully rose and gold-toned coin is a spectacular example of the short-lived Matte Proof series and certainly as appealing an example as may exist today. Here is the Indian-Buffalo design as designer James Earle Fraser intended it to look. NGC PF65. 148 1913 Type II. Gem Matte Proof GEM MTE PF $1,400.00 This coin's surfaces are a fascinating frosty silver, highlighted by a faint whisper of lightest gold. Strike is wonderfully clear, showing all details to near-perfection, including razor-sharp inner rims. Here is the Buffalo design and the short-lived Matte Proof at their finest. 149 1913'D' Type I. Struck from heavily clashed dies with the word PLURIBUS visible under the Indian's chin.
