Here is a thoroughly satisfying yellow-gold specimen of the most eagerly sought-after key to the entire Indian series. 2063 1911'D' CH AU $4,700.00 Choice About Uncirculated. Pale orange-gold toning. The surfaces have been gently wiped to give the appearance of a Mint State coin. Well struck detail with the mintmark a bit weak though completely visible. A very popular and rare coin that is truly the key to completing the Indian Head Quarter Eagle set. 2064 1912 Very Choice Matte Proof VERY CH MTE PF $11,000.00 - perhaps a bit better. A tiny nick on the cheek and a small line on the reverse are this coin's main detraction. Attractive mustard-green toning over surfaces that exhibit a magnificent strike. One of only 197 proofs struck and certainly one of the nicest one could hope to find. 2065 1912 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $750.00 Satiny smooth surfaces are well struck and quite lustrous. A medium gold tone gives this coin electric character. 2066 1912 Brilliant Uncirculated BU $400.00 - and on the cusp of full Choice condition. Light orange-gold with some pinkish hues. The strike is decent but not full. 2067 1912 Brilliant Uncirculated BU $375.00 - and near-Choice. Light frosty gold clothes an exacting strike. A trace of residue can be found on the eagle's wing. 2068 1913 Gem Matte Proof GEM MTE PF $14,500.00 This amazing coin displays the short-lived Matte Proof at its finest. Flawless fields and meticulous devices exhibit the finest-grained sandblast finish that could be imagined. Both sides display rich and satisfying uniform light gold with a fascinating undertone of palest olive-green. One of 165 struck, and assuredly one of the finest examples available to today's quality-conscious...  more 2069 1914 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $4,100.00 Rich lemon yellow mint frost dominates the surfaces of this example for a powerful look. The coin is well struck and has no marks worthy of mention. This date is readily available in circulated grades but is quite scarce in Mint State. Choice coins such as this are quite difficult to locate and this example should be seriously considered by any Quarter Eagle specialist. NGC MS63. 2070 1914 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $1,900.00 A bright and lustrous coin that has a very good strike. Brilliant yellow-gold patina gives this coin nice eye appeal. Quite scarce in this excellent condition as most coins available are much lower grade. 2071 1914 Brilliant Uncirculated BU $550.00 - not far from the Choice rank. Forcefully struck and showing a wealth of fine details, this bold example of a scarce pre-war date would be a satisfying addition to any high quality collection of the Indian series. 2072 1914'D' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $5,500.00 - a bold virtual Gem boasting the deepest yellow-gold mint frost that provides a distinctly pleasing shimmer to both sides. Althoug the 1914'D' is a common date in the lower Mint State and circulated grades, it is downright scarce at this grade level. PCGS MS64. 2073 1914'D' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $4,500.00 - on the cusp of Gem with appealing frosty lustre and the sharpest Denver mintmark for added visual attraction. PCGS MS64. 2074 1914'D' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $500.00 Light coppery-red toning over pleasing surfaces. The strike is average for this date with the lustre being delicate. 2075 1914'D' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $475.00 Bright yellow-gold toning over lustrous surfaces. The strike is quite strong giving this coin a marvelous look. 2076 1914'D' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $475.00 Pale gold toning that gives this coin nice eye appeal. The strike is excellent and the lustre complete. Outstanding lustre and fields with a bold strike gives this near Gem coin marvelous eye appeal. 2080 1915 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $1,800.00 A bold strike and lovely greenish-gold toning enable this coin to nearly achieve the highest grade that one normally encounters. 2081 1915 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $1,800.00 - or nearly so. Attractive lustre permeates both sides of this decently struck coin. A very tiny reverse rim nick is this coin's main detraction, otherwise this coin has marvelous eye appeal and should be closely viewed. 2082 1915 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $3,000.00 Satiny surfaces show attractive mint lustre. Pale yellow-gold toning gives this coin excellent appeal. A few minuscule marks hardly matter when one looks at the overall impressive quality of this example.
