Lot # Description Grade Hammer Price 1336 MCMVII (1907) Roman Numerals. High Relief, Wire Rim VERY CH BU $30,000.00 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Outstanding greenish-gold toning over a strike that is medallic in appearance. The surfaces are satiny smooth with no major marks to interfere with this coin's lovely eye appeal. A really great example of one of the United States most beautiful coins. 1337 MCMVII (1907) Roman Numerals. High Relief, Wire Rim CH BU $21,000.00 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Attractive pale yellow-gold toning gives this example nice eye appeal. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are nearly devoid of any major marks. The sharp wire rim is prominently displayed on the obverse, giving this coin a very distinguished appearance. NGC MS63. 1338 MCMVII (1907) Roman Numerals. High Relief, Wire Rim CH BU $26,000.00 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated or better in appearance but there is a small area on the lower right reverse rim that has been lightly enhanced. The color is lovely and the strike medallic in strength. The surfaces exude creamy mint lustre that gives this example a very pleasing appearance. 1339 MCMVII (1907) Roman Numerals. High Relief, Flat Rim CH BU $20,000.00 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Attractive greenish-gold toning over decent surfaces. The strike is adequate and the lustre is quite nice. There are a few tiny little marks scattered here and there but none are that serious. A very pretty coin graded NGC MS63. 1340 MCMVII (1907) Roman Numerals. High Relief, Wire Rim. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $18,750.00 - nearly Choice. Medium greenish-gold toning over attractive surfaces. Bold lustre gives this coin great appeal. The strike is strong, further enhancing this coin's intense eye appeal. A wonderful coin that is conservatively graded NGC MS62. 1341 MCMVII (1907) Roman Numerals. High Relief, Flat Rim. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $12,000.00 - with claims to the Choice category. Pale green-gold toning over lustrous surfaces. There are some tiny marks scattered about this coin's surfaces, preventing it from grading any higher. The strike is nice which adds to the overall appearance. Icy mint frost and an assertive strike are featured on this distinctive specimen. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $950.00 Delightful yellow-gold toning with sparkling mint lustre. Well struck and quite nice for this generally weakly struck issue. 1347 1908'D' No Motto. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $950.00 An impressive amber radiance surrounds boldly struck devices. An increasingly difficult coin to locate in Mint State. 1348 1908'S' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $9,250.00 Strongly rounded rims and ample lustre join with an absolute minimum of even the tiniest marks to provide this handsome coin its outstanding visual impact. 1349 1909 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $1,850.00 High squared rims enclose deep canary-yellow surfaces displaying satisfying orange-peel texture. A delightful delicate shimmer underscores the coin's bold appeal. Akers calls this grade level ''very rare,'' assigning the level of High R-7. 1355 1913'S' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $2,200.00 - with claims to Choice. Gleaming stark yellow gold shows delightful glass-smooth lustrous beauty. With only 34,000 struck, this San Francisco date has long been in demand. 1356 1913'S' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $1,100.00 With a mintage of only 34,000 pieces, this is a rather elusive date, most notably in Mint State. This specimen combines vibrant detail with an attractive coppery glow. 1357 1914 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $8,000.00 Attractive satiny surfaces exhibit creamy orange-gold toning. Quite scarce in this exalted grade. 1358 1915 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $3,750.00 Lovely orange-gold toning over immaculate surfaces. The lustre is really outstanding and the strike is full. Very scarce in this lovely condition. 1359 1915'S' Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $1,500.00 Lovely orange-gold toning over very well preserved surfaces. The strike is excellent, further enhancing the appeal of this lovely coin. 1360 1920 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $750.00 - with claims to the Gem category. Deep green-gold mixed with some coppery toning gives this coin nice appeal. Well struck and scarce in this condition. 1361 1920'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $38,000.00 Here is a thoroughly pleasing example of the second rarest collectible issue of the Saint Gaudens series, rated Low R-7 in Akers' study. A satisfying strike and uniform lemon-gold lustre show no marks of any severity. This is a coin destined for some world-class collection of carefully selected rarities. 1362 1924'S' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $7,200.00 This essentially Gem example offers extravagant quantities of sparkling gold lustre for overwhelming appeal. Add this to an exemplary strike and exceptional visual quality. David Akers' research convinced him of this San Francisco date's great rarity and he described this rarefied grade as R-8. 1363 1925'S' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $20,000.00 - close to full Gem. Sparkling deep yellow-gold lustre enlivens the bold orange-peel fields. Here is late die state showing some fascinating die cracks. A trivial reverse edge bruise at 6:00 is noted for accuracy. Akers calls this date and grade R-8, writing, ''the 1925'S' is one of the major rarities of the series, especially in MS-64 or better.'' Matching this coin's beauty and quality...  more 1364 1926 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $850.00 Greenish-gold toning over crisply struck surfaces. 1365 1926'S' Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $11,000.00 - or nearly so. Wonderful deep lemon-gold with some coppery-red toning on the reverse gives this coin great appeal. The surfaces are nearly pristine and are just a few light marks away from perfection.
