Brilliant Uncirculated BU $1,000.00 - or nearly so. Pale toning over well struck surfaces. A spot on the obverse is not that distracting. A scarce and very popular date in this series. 365 1909 Choice Matte Proof CH MTE PF $360.00 This red-brown coin's inner and outer rims are rigorously squared. A glass reveals a bit of surface haze but the overall visual quality is delightfully high. 366 1909 Matte Proof MTE PF $150.00 Appealing pinkish red to blue shades enhance sharply defined devices to create outstanding visual quality. ANACS Cache PF64RB. 370 1910 Choice Matte Proof CH MTE PF $180.00 Needle-shape strike yields crisp rims, a partly red obverse shows dashes of steel with a reverse displaying steely overall toning. 371 1911 Very Choice Matte Proof VERY CH MTE PF $200.00 This jewel-sharp and wholly mark-free coin boasts red-brown surfaces with dashes of deeper color for boldest appeal. 372 1911 Choice Matte Proof CH MTE PF $300.00 This example of the short-lived Matte coinage boasts a deep red and violet obverse that has a distinctly satin surface. Sharply struck with red-brown surfaces showing tawny overtones for unusual eye appeal. 377 1913 Gem Matte Proof GEM MTE PF $325.00 - despite a few minor carbon flecks. Golden orange and red tones are ablaze on this coin's crisp, matte fields and strongly impressed devices. An impressive halo of deep magenta at the lower reverse is joined by a swathe of dark violet down Lincoln's head. Here is a superior survivor of just 2,848 Proofs struck of this date. 378 1913 Very Choice Matte Proof VERY CH MTE PF $275.00 This coin's surfaces are exceedingly finely matte, displaying relatively smooth medium brown that shows narrow red edging around the crisp, high rims. PCGS PR64BN. 379 1913 Choice Matte Proof CH MTE PF $120.00 Deep red cartwheel shows the first stages of developing brown. A wisp of filmy residue can be found on the edge and reverse. 380 1913'D' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $600.00 - with some claims to the Choice category. Red-brown patina over high quality surfaces. Well struck and quite attractive for the grade; 1925'D' Brilliant Uncirculated. A good amount of mint color but there is some moderate spotting. The coin has a better than average strike for this date; 1929'S' Brilliant Uncirculated. Nearly full mint red with some moderate staining on the reverse. Very well...  more 381 1913'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $260.00 - with claims to Gem. Goodly amounts of red and a nice orange glow highlight the coin's sharp devices. 382 1914'D' AU $1,000.00 About Uncirculated or finer in terms of wear and detail. Examined closely under a glass, this coin's medium brown surfaces reveal an old cleaning and some freckling. 383 1915 Gem Matte Proof GEM MTE PF $650.00 Cartwheel reflectivity is of the highest quality, giving vivid appeal to the deep brown surfaces and their delicate, tantalizing blue sheen. The strike is of medallic perfection, making this as near-perfect an example of the Matte Proof coinage as might be demanded. PCGS PR65BN. 384 1915 Choice Matte Proof CH MTE PF $300.00 A meticulous strike results in minutely exacting detail on Lincoln's hair and beard. The obverse field is almost wholly red with a few minute freckles. PCGS PR63RB. 385 1919'D' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $200.00 This exciting coin is nearly full mint red that gives it the lustrous beauty of a higher grade. 386 1920'S' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $325.00 Beautiful red color is a trifle muted but still quite vibrant. Silky mint lustre adds to the wonderful eye appeal. 387 1922 Plain. Die Pair 2. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $6,000.00 Lovely tan color gives this example pleasing eye appeal. This classic 20th century key date is scarcely found above Extremely Fine, and is especially rare in such pristine condition as the present example. This surprisingly well struck example from the second die pair is sure to elicit spirited bidding. 388 1922'D' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $175.00 - and a borderline Gem. Smooth, medium brown patina accompanies underlying velvet-silk lustre. Well struck and still retaining ever so slight traces of mint red in the obverse lettering. 389 1955 Doubled Die CH AU $1,400.00 Choice About Uncirculated. All obverse lettering is vividly doubled, surfaces present a pleasing uniform light brown with hints of faded mint red on this attractive specimen. A few minor circulation tics and freckles are noted. 390 1972 Doubled Die Obverse. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $500.00 - close to the Gem category. Deep blazing red covers both sides, the obverse boasts unmistakably doubled date and mottoes on this splendid example of a major modern variety. PCGS MS64RB.
