1787 Fugio Cent. Newman 6-W.1 (R-5). Fine Rays. STATES UNITED.

EF |
$1,700.00 |
158.3 gns. Extremely Fine. Glossy, ruddy brown fields surround legends and devices that are worn to a pleasing, olive-brown hue. Two large, mint made planchet voids are noted through sunface and through the letters 'MIND' and 'BUS'. This specimen is most interesting for its die states, which is much later than usually encountered. The die crack/break at the lower obverse has grown to... more |

- nearly Choice. Ruddy brown with lighter golden brown at the peripheries, this gently lustrous coin exhibits few of the planchet flaws that plague this historic issue. The obverse exhibits the diagnostic major rim to rim die crack that runs from across the coin from 6:00 to 10:30. NGC MS62BN. |

1787 Fugio Cent. N.12-?. Fine Rays. STATES UNITED.

$100.00 |
136.5 gns. Very Good. Obverse die is most certainly number 12, although the general granularity of the surfaces preclude attribution of the reverse. (Perhaps this coin represents one of the very rare combinations of obverse 12?) A small planchet flaw above 'N' of MIND goes right through the coin. Dies oriented medal turn. |

VERY CH UNC |
$3,000.00 |
Icy mint gloss covers both obverse and reverse of this glowing deep chestnut brown specimen. Lustre is unbroken and the strike is quite bold, bringing out all the finest details in the sundial and all the horizontal hatching of MIND YOUR BUSINESS. A Fugio Cent wouldn't be a Fugio Cent without at least some planchet flaws, but fortunately this coin's are minimal, including a slight chip... more |

$1,800.00 |
156.0 gns. Subtle hints of original mint red color lie hidden in the most protected areas of the devices of both sides. There is some of the usually encountered planchet flakiness, which is mostly minor and is restricted to the lower left obverse and upper left reverse. A tiny curved planchet clip is noted at the 4:00 position. Here is a very attractive Fugio Cent that undoubtedly hails... more |

$550.00 |
154.2 gns. Very Fine, or a bit finer. Golden and olive-brown devices stand out against slightly darker brown fields on both sides. Surfaces exhibit a few minor pinscratches and circulation tics, but none are severe enough to detract from the eye appeal of this coin. A straight planchet clip is noted just above the sun's rays on the right. Struck from the state of the reverse die featuring... more |

1787 Fugio Cent. Newman 104-FF. New Haven Restrike. Copper
|
CH AU |
$380.00 |
Choice About Uncirculated. As with so many New Haven Restrikes, this specimen exhibits a trifling amount of wear, perhaps in an attempt to make this 19th century restrike look older than it actually was! Surfaces are smooth, glossy and quite attractive, and this coin's only flaw is a minor old scuff at central obverse. PCGS AU58. |
