Choice Very Fine and close to a higher grade. This obverse is noteworthy for a small and spindly first star. The reverse shows the unbroken serifs on 'U' in UNITED. Silver surfaces bear some delicate gray and gold toning of great dignity. Light and trouble-free circulation adds to the coin's strong visual quality and appeal. |

Very Fine. Cloudy tan and gold toning adheres to surfaces that have been mildly abraded to give this coin an even, lightly porous appearance. Devices and legends are very well defined on this ever so slightly scarcer date. A couple of rim bruises are noted on this specimen of the die state featuring clash marks that appear as a ''collar'' at Miss Liberty's bust. |
