867 1837 No Stars, Large Date. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $390.00

Steel gray toning over lightly hairlined surfaces. An interesting die crack that begins at 9:00 on the obverse and cuts across the body to the staff and extends up the staff and ends at the edge above.
868 1837 No Stars, Small Date AU $325.00

About Uncirculated. This lovely example of the first date boasts fascinating gunmetal and tawny gold toning.
869 1838 No Drapery. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $550.00

This virtual Choice coin's near-cameo contrast dramatizes the obverse with its frosty silver Liberty resting on a rich caramel and russet background. The reverse is silver-white with old-gold circling the periphery.
870 1838 No Drapery AU $110.00

About Uncirculated; 1854 Arrows. Extremely Fine. The first coin is reflective silver, the second muted silver-white. 2 pieces.
871 1842 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $300.00

This vivid gold-toned obverse shows a high date, virtually against the base of Liberty. The reverse presents almost clear silver with a delightful wisp of clear gold. An exceptional strike is protected by the highest raised rims.

Here is a frosty silver near-Gem example of an important lower-mintage New Orleans date, far scarcer than commonly used guide books would suggest. This reverse shows a small, round 'O' centered between the ribbon and DIME. PCGS has certified only two examples in this elusive grade. PCGS MS64.
873 1859'O' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $240.00

Frosty surfaces with some gray toning. Struck from strongly clashed dies which can be seen especially on the obverse. NGC MS63.
874 1860 Brilliant Proof BR PF $300.00

- or slightly better. Deep natural gray toning overlies flashing silver fields and precisely struck devices of outstanding visual quality. Mint records show 1,000 Proofs struck, 545 sold. The unsold balance presumably returned to the melting pot.
875 1860'O' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $210.00

Full rich silver mint frost creates forceful visual appeal for this pre-Civil War New Orleans strike.
876 1865 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $600.00

Prooflike obverse fields underlie heavy blue, red and gold-russet toning while Liberty glows with clear red-gold. The reverse is largely silver and shows hints of very gentle cleaning long ago.
877 1867 Choice Brilliant Proof CH BR PF $800.00

A sharply struck coin with both surfaces displaying deep mirrored fields. The obverse has light golden toning while the reverse is toned in shades of steel blue and sea green.
878 1867 Brilliant Proof BR PF $900.00

- with nearness to the Choice category. Muscatel-gold fields highlight the crisp, silver-white reliefs on this example of 625 Proofs struck.
