Dashes of deep blue and a touch of pink enrich the flashing silver fields and razor-sharp devices on this example of a lower-mintage date that is notably elusive in the highest grades. The NGC Population Report reveals only three graded at this level by NGC. NGC MS65.

A very attractive specimen of this one-year only type. Both sides show full lustre on satiny surfaces. There is pleasing pale gold and iridescent rose-blue toning on the front, the back having just a whisper of light gold showing. Some very faint initials can be found in the right obverse field.

The central devices are nicely frosted. The piece has a lovely look and great eye appeal. Only 550 Proofs were struck in this wartime era.

Incredibly rich rose Liberty contrasts with lovely electric blue on this exquisite obverse. The gleaming reverse is luxurious blue with a faint undercurrent of rose. 1,355 Proofs were struck, but coins in this high grade are unquestionably rare. Only 13 have received this grade, NGC PF67.
