THE FNB OF COLLINSVILLE. Ch.11337. $5.00. Fr.606. 1902 PB. F $900.00 Fine but the folds show some soiling and there is some aging in spots. The red stamped signatures are still visible. Nice crispness for the grade. A scarce note with only nine large size notes reported in the census with this note new to the census. 443 CALIFORNIA. THE FNB OF MOUNTAINVIEW. Ch.10324. $10.00. Fr.1801-1 F $500.00 1929 Type I. Fine in terms of wear but displaying some staining on the face. The note has been trimmed at the left. One of only nine small size notes listed for this very popular and well collected state. 444 CALIFORNIA. THE WELLS FARGO NEVADA NB OF SAN FRANCISCO. Ch.5105. $5.00 Fr VF $700.00 477. 1882BB. A strong Very Fine with decent centering and strong penned signatures. Some pinholes in the portrait. The color is rich and vibrant on the face, the back a bit faded. Very Fine. Well centered with strong penned signatures. The color is excellent on the face but the back color has faded a bit. Still a good example of this well titled bank. 446 CALIFORNIA. THE WELLS FARGO NEVADA NB OF SAN FRANCISCO. Ch.5105. $5.00 EF $1,100.00 Fr.537. 1882DB. A very attractive Extremely Fine with strong paper quality and great color. The signatures are as strong as if they were just penned and the centering is exquisite. A top flight type note that will make the new owner quite pleased. 447 CALIFORNIA. A well centered bright and colorful example that is fresh and original and should make the new owner quite proud. 452 CONNECTICUT. THE FNB OF NEW CANAAN. Ch.1249. $5.00. Fr.401. 1875 VG $3,200.00 Very Good in terms of wear but exhibiting an arrow-shaped bald area that is about one and one half inches long on the front. There are some edge splits and some pinholes present. This is only the second first charter known on this bank. 453 CONNECTICUT. THE FNB OF STAMFORD. Ch.4. $1.00. Fr.380. 1875 Original G $1,100.00 Fine but split in half and taped together again. The note still has a very presentable appearance, mainly from the front. A good example for the ''first hundred charter'' collectors. 454 DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. THE DISTRICT NB OF WASHINGTON. Ch.9545. $5.00. Fr VF $175.00 600. 1902 PB. Very Fine. Cut into the design at the top left of the face. The color is nice and the signatures are strong. A decent type note with no major problems. 455 DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. THE RIGGS NB OF WASHINGTON. Ch.5046. $5.00. Fr.534 VG $390.00 1882 DB. A strong Very Good with visible purple stamped signatures. Centered toward the bottom. A couple of edge splits, otherwise this note is wholesome and a good candidate for the type collector. 456 INDIANA. THE SECOND NB OF RICHMOND. Ch. 1988. $10.00. Fr.628. 1902 PB. VG to F $200.00 Very Good to Fine. Trimmed tightly across the bottom. More heavily soiled than is normal. 457 INDIANA. THE FIRST NB OF SOUTH BEND. Ch.126. $10.00. Fr.624. 1902 PB. F $500.00 Fine, with a decent amount of crispness still remaining. Well centered but lightly washed and exhibiting some pinholes. 458 ILLINOIS. THE CONTINENTAL NATIONAL BANK OF CHICAGO. Ch.2894. $10.00. Fr VG $110.00 616. 1902 DB. Very Good. The note is a bit soiled but has strong stamped signatures. There are no major problems. 459 ILLINOIS. THE DOUGLASS NATIONAL BANK OF CHICAGO. Ch.12227. $5.00. Fr.608 CH VF $350.00 1902 PB. Choice Very Fine with the appearance of a higher grade. Nice wide margins amplify the appeal of this note. The signatures are strong and the color is bright. One of the few black-owned National Banks of the time. 460 ILLINOIS. THE DOUGLASS NATIONAL BANK OF CHICAGO. Ch.12227. $5.00. Fr.608 VG $230.00 1902 PB. A strong Very Good. The top margin is cut into the design. The signatures are strongly stamped. 461 ILLINOIS. THE DOUGLASS NATIONAL BANK OF CHICAGO. Ch.12227. $5.00. Fr.608 VG $240.00 1902 PB. Very Good but moderately soiled, and the margin at the bottom is cut into the design. 462 ILLINOIS. THE NB OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHICAGO. Ch.4605. $20.00. Fr.1801-1 EF $140.00 1929 Type I. Extremely Fine. Trimmed tight at the top right but not touching. A bright and crispy note for the grade. 463 ILLINOIS. THE GRUNDY COUNTY NB OF MORRIS. Ch.531. $10.00. Fr.650. 1902 PB F $280.00 Fine. The purple signatures are a bit faded but are fully legible. The note is centered a bit toward the bottom. Decent crispness for the grade. 464 ILLINOIS. THE NB OF PAWNEE. Ch.7440. $10.00. Fr.616. 1902 DB. CH VF $1,800.00 Choice Very Fine. A nice bright note that has good color and decent margins but for the top left which is close. Strong signed signatures. A very scarce bank. This note is only the sixth note known on this bank and is not included in the most currently published census. 465 IOWA. THE CITY NB OF CLINTON. Ch.2469. $10.00. Fr.490. 1882 BB CU $5,000.00 Crisp Uncirculated. Cut a bit close at the top but with ample margins. Great crispness and color with strong penned signatures. Bank serial number 1, plate position A which is the top position in the sheet but the top margin has been trimmed. A wonderful note that should bring a strong price. 466 IOWA. THE CITY NB OF CLINTON. Ch.2469. $10.00. Fr.490. 1882 BB CU $5,500.00 Crisp Uncirculated. Wonderful color and strong signatures gives this note marvelous eye appeal. This is bank serial number 1, plate position B from this cut sheet and displaying all the characteristics of a fresh and original note. 467 IOWA. THE CITY NB OF CLINTON. Ch.2469. $10.00. Fr.490. 1882 BB CU $7,000.00 Crisp Uncirculated. Cut a bit unevenly at the top but with ample margins. Well penned signatures and great color along with strong embossing give this note great eye appeal. Bank serial number 1, plate position C from this cut sheet which should be every bit as pleasing as the above two notes. 468 IOWA. THE CITY NB OF CLINTON. Ch.2469. $20.00. Fr.504. 1882 BB. CH AU $6,000.00 Choice About Uncirculated with some minor handling keeping this note out of the Uncirculated grade. Tight but ample margins on all sides. Good color and strong signatures. Bank serial number 1, plate position A from this cut sheet. The last opportunity to acquire a ''trophy'' note from this bank. 469 KANSAS. THE NB OF COMMERCE IN PITTSBURG. Ch.8418. $10.00. Fr.626. 1902 PB VG $275.00 Very Good. Small but ample margins top to bottom. The soiling is moderate for the grade. There are no serious problems, just honest wear. Scarce with only 9 notes reported in the census. 470 KANSAS. THE FNB OF PRAIRIE VIEW. Ch.9373. $10.00. Fr.626. 1902 PB. VG to F $800.00 Very Good to Fine. The President's signature is a bit faint and the note exhibits some moderate yellowing. Decent, but small, margins top to bottom. A very scarce item with only five large size notes reported in the census. 471 MASSACHUSETTS. THE BLACKSTONE NB OF BOSTON. Ch.514. $10.00. Fr.416. 1875 FR $1,400.00 Fair. The note is actually a higher grade but nearly split in half horizontally and with a second horizontal internal split above the central one. It also has a few chips out of the top margin.
