CH EF |
$10,000.00 |
Choice Extremely Fine, with claims to About Uncirculated. Rose gray surfaces display blue green overtones for a pleasing look. The strike is quite bold imparting a wealth of detail. The hair detail is particularly strong and rivals that of most About Uncirculated or better examples. A scarce date that is seldom found in such a pleasing state of preservation. A coin that was somewhat... more |

VERY CH BU |
$60,000.00 |
This impressive example displays rich mint frost beneath a compendium of colorful toning ranging deep russet-orange to blue to pale lavender-gray. The strike is about as sharp as might be hoped for from a non-Proof coin of this type. The hair strands are well-defined, as are the eagle's shield, neck feathers and the olive branch in its claw, while Miss Liberty's shoulder and the surrounding... more |

Fine, but lightly cleaned. The coin is now an attractive medium gray with darker gold around the periphery. Slightly reflective from the past cleaning. Later die state with the die crack down through the 'T' of LIBERTY and another through the first 'S' and last 'S' of STATES via the clouds below. |

$4,600.00 |
About Fine, but lightly cleaned. This is the latest die state seen and a fairly high grade coin for this popular die state. There is no definition within the triangular die cud covering the first star and all but the two upper points of the second star. Some experts consider this to be a retained cud with enough wear to eliminate the weakly struck definition of the stars within this... more |

VF |
$400.00 |
Very Fine, but lightly wiped. Traces of lustre remain in the fields and the rims are toned with dark russet gold and blue. Light silver at the centers and pleasing. The strike is typically weak for this shattered die reverse, with softness on Liberty's central curls and on the left side of the reverse near the extensive network of die cracks. |

$400.00 |
Fine. This carbon gray example displays pleasing surfaces and has strong details for the grade. A few minute contact marks can be found, as one should expect on a circulated coin, but there are no adjustment marks or other distractions of note. A wholesome early Half Dollar. |
