No.72603. Series 249 CH AU $1,700.00 Choice About Uncirculated. Excellent margins, especially so for this issue. Wonderful color and paper quality. This serial number is in the middle of a run of About Uncirculated and Uncirculated notes known in the Census. Quite an attractive type note. 1022 $1.00. Fr.16. 1862. No.84256. Series 233 F $360.00 Fine. Some light yellowing and a few tiny rust spots in the central face area. The margins are superior for this issue with three and one-half large margins with only the upper right a bit close. 1023 $1.00. Fr.16. 1862. No.74203. Series 223 VG $135.00 Very Good. A few pinholes and an internal separation are visible. The lower right corner is missing and the red seal is faded. Despite the problems, the note has a respectable appearance and will fill that hole in a moderately priced collection. 1024 $1.00. Fr.18. 1869. No.K219776 CH VF $1,100.00 Choice Very Fine and a lovely note for the grade. Immense even margins are a delightful exception to the centering normally seen for this issue. The margins are tight top to bottom but do not touch the design. The color and crispness are first rate, giving this note good eye appeal. Series 19 CH AU $2,750.00 Choice About Uncirculated. Three lovely margins, the bottom margin is very close to the design. A few scattered pinholes do not detract much. The color is excellent and the paper quality is great. An appealing type note that is well above what is normally offered for this grade. 1037 $2.00. Fr.41. 1862. No.26301. Series 170 G $400.00 Fine. Three large margins with a small bottom margin that does not touch the design. The upper right margin has some tears and a small spot in the center of the note appears to have been repaired. Good color and the paper quality is decent for the grade. 1038 $2.00. Fr.41. 1862. No.70718. Series 119 VG $325.00 Very Good with an sealed edge tear at the left margin and a few minor edge chinks scattered throughout. The color is very good considering the grade and gives this note decent eye appeal. 1039 $2.00. Fr.41a. 1862. No.33883. Series 72 CH VF $1,200.00 Choice Very Fine with claims to the next grade. Three decent margins but the note is cut slightly into the design at the right. The color is excellent for a note of this age as is the paper quality. A good middle grade type note for the modestly budgeted collector. 1040 $2.00. Fr.42. 1869. No.E4975170 G to VG $260.00 Good to Very Good with an small edge chink at the top and scattered edge splits throughout. The color is decent although somewhat subdued. Crisp Uncirculated CU $280.00 - with the eye appeal of a Choice example. A tiny corner bend can be found and is this note's main detraction. The centering is tight but clear on all four sides. A pleasing note. 1042 $2.00. Fr.60. 1917. No.E13703975A. Crisp Uncirculated CU $275.00 A wholly original note that has the bottom margin cut right up to the design. The color and paper quality is excellent for this last signature combination used for Large Size Legal Tender Notes. 1043 $2.00. Fr.60. 1917. No.E25392787A. Four strong margins which is unusual for this early issue. The red seal has faded but is still visible. A single pinhole is this note's other main detraction. Solid with some pinholes and some red pen staining on the face and back extremities. 1046 $5.00. Fr.74. 1880. No.A5779020 EF $600.00 Extremely Fine. Well centered with rich seal color. The paper has some light soiling at the right but not to its complete detriment. Lovely paper quality gives this note excellent eye appeal. 1047 $5.00. Fr.78. 1880. No.A19516143 CH CU $2,600.00 The characteristics of a Choice Crisp Uncirculated note but the corners are a bit yellowed due to mounting. Otherwise the centering, color and the paper quality are quite fresh, which should recommend this note for closer inspection. 1048 $5.00. Fr.82. 1880. No.A52088498. Crisp Uncirculated CU $1,500.00 The note is centered toward the bottom but does not touch the design. The color is sharp with excellent originality. A respectable type note that should please most collectors. 1049 $5.00. Fr.91. 1907. No.K56679996 CH EF $280.00 Choice Extremely Fine. Decent margins for the type with good color and paper quality. Three minute pinholes in the central portrait are barely distracting. A respectable example of this popular ''Woodchopper'' design. 1050 $10.00. Fr.96. 1869. No.H5329017. Crisp Uncirculated CU $5,500.00 - and nearly Choice. A marvelous note with decent color that would be a much higher grade if the centering was a bit better. The color is first rate showing to the collecting public what a ''rainbow'' note color should be. The paper quality is lovely further giving this note wonderful eye appeal.
