Minor chip off the upper right corner, but overall bright face appearance. A rare and early issue. The majority are less than this grade. 976 Virginia (James River Bank). April 1, 1773 [written]. Twenty 'Shillings' VF $750.00 No.19/6928[?]. Three signatures. Printed on laid paper. Ship upper left. Back with ornamental border and counterfeit warning. Very Fine. Crisp, bright and vivid from the face. There is one short split on a quarter fold and glue residue on the top back. Superior grade and very attractive. 977 Virginia (James River Bank). Indented left end with ship upper left. Very Fine with some pinholes along the vertical fold. Bright and vivid. There is an extremely deft and virtually invisible repair at the top left edge for a missing piece. Excellent eye appeal. 983 Virginia (James River Bank). A moderate horizontal fold (bordering on a crease) and rubbed corners. Boldly printed with sparkling face mica.
