No.34207. Six signatures, three horizontal at the left and three vertical to the right. Uniface. Sword in Hand. ET DEUS OMNIPETENS. Fine. Sharp quarter folds, but not broken significantly with central juncture hole and petty voids. The quadrants are all bright and crisp. The vignette is super sharp and quite an attractive note on this series.

Fine or better for the issue. These large format bills generally were well used. Moderate surface soiling, but still with some crispness. No.9922. Three signatures. Printed on laid paper, ornate watermark visible at the left. Three wide margins, the top and three sides. Top of the sheet example. Extremely Fine and an Exceptional Example for the type. Much superior to the Ford III Sale, lot 824 (''Fine plus''). A light fold, some light foxing at the upper right and light handling. Bold and vivid with amazing paper quality...  more

Thirty Shillings. No.9902. Three signatures. Fine or so. Surface soling, but intact with only a short, partial split at the top center. Nice margins for the series date. On par with the Ford III Sale note.

No.[??19. faint]. Two signatures: Russell and Ward. Very Fine. Still quite crisp with sharp color for the grade. Embossing present, but the face is soiled moderately. There is tiny trimming in at the upper right end. These small notes on this Resolve date are quite rare. The first we have offered in recent memory and generally seen only in advanced collections.

No.1687. Four signatures. Uniface. Flourishing and fallen tree, ship in distant. MELIOREM LAPSA LOCAVIT. The appearance of nearly Very Fine. However, vertical split and left end split are both paper strip repaired from the back. The printing is strong from an early plate state and quite striking at first glance. An attractive type and very scarce note.
964 South Carolina. March 6, 1776 Resolve. Fifty Pounds G $275.00

No.3071. Four signatures. Printed face and back on blue laid paper. Trophies. ANIMAS OPIBUSQUE PARATI. Good or better. A chinked upper left corner and piece out of the top. Face surface soiling, but overall still a decent example of a very tough type. Not many notes of this type are seen in higher grade.

No.4003[?]. Two signatures. TURBAT SED EXTOLLIT. Fine. Soiled with large center pinhole. Back, left edge paper strip; 1777 (December 23, 1776 Act). Eight Dollars. No.2354[?]. Three signature. Ship. MULTORUM SPES. Fine or better. Hard crease, but natural ''softness'' to the paper with some minor nicks. A useful pairing of South Carolina colonial notes. 2 pieces.

Unnumbered remainder. One signature. Rooster. ET SOLI ET MARTI. Error date type. Choice Crisp Uncirculated. A lovely note with tremendous embossing, sharp corners, and great centering. Claims to Gem and most will be inclined in that direction.

Unnumbered remainder. Three signatures. Ship. THE ACTAEON, IRAM PRUDENTIA VINCIT. Corrected date, Choice Extremely Fine. Vertical fold and corner creased at the lower right. Wide maligned and sharp. The top of the back with some paper mounting residue.

No.5667. Four signatures. Bird flees cage. IBI PATRIA UBI LIBERTAS. Very Fine. Light fold with soft corners and a pinhole. Overall, quite a handsome example with very strong printing.

No.5060. Four signatures. Man carries pack. MISERA SERVITUS OMNIS. Fine to Very Fine. A hard fold, handling and surface soiling on both sides. A small stain at the left end.
970 South Carolina. April 10, 1778. Fifteen Shillings VF to EF $550.00

No.9150. Two signatures. Uniface. Printed on laid paper. Rising sun. Very Fine to Extremely Fine. Light folds, but the eye appeal of higher grade. Well margined and sharp for the grade.

A bold example for the grade with the face being well margined and well printed. The back is tremendously inked with the boldest details imaginable from the Coram plate. A superior example for any note from the series....  more

Very Fine or slightly better. The wide margins show soiling and moderate to severe nicks. However, none of those reach the plate margin line. If trimmed, the note would appear a grade higher.
