Uniface, four subject back block, printed tete beche. Later Reprint on thick stock. An unusual item, perhaps from the original plate. The denominations are hashed out prior to printing. The quality of the engraving is odd, but this is the first we have seen. Extremely Fine.

No.3855. Signed by Cranch. Revere Codfish Note. Crisp Uncirculated. The printing quality is rather faint on the face as this is printed from a worn plate. The bottom right is trimmed in slightly with the border line affected on the back. Still, an excellent example.

No.836. Signed by Partridge. Revere and Fleet Rising Sun Issue. On paper quality, technically About Uncirculated. However, the right end is trimmed in and three corners are rounded. Overall, Very Fine is appropriate.

No.10616. Signed by Dawes and Cranch. Guaranteed by the United States Issue. Countersigned on the back by Boyer. Choice About Uncirculated due to some minor handling. Not canceled and quite tough as such. Bright and vivid.

Boston. 1804. No.1960. Contemporary Counterfeit. Massachusetts Arms upper left. 'FIVE' at left end. This early bank listed in Newman and collected in the Massachusetts series. Very Fine for the thin paper type. Top grade for the type.
