Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $1,600.00 This gleaming coin was a highlight of our October 1992 sale of coins from the Floyd T. Starr collection, where it was described as ''Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. A wholly Prooflike 'First Strike.' The coin really does resemble a Proof, but the edges are slightly rounded and all of the devices are not fully struck up. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $725.00 - with claims to the Gem category. Deep olive-russet toning is highlighted by delicate emerald and lavender undertones. The fields and devices are quite smooth, and the strike is bold. 1340 1900 Lafayette Dollar. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $3,750.00 An unusual blend of sea-green, pale blue and rose-gold toning over well kept surfaces. The strike is crisp and there are no major marks to detract from this prominent type. 1341 1900 Lafayette Dollar. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $500.00 A blend of deep sea-green, russet, and mauve toning accents either side. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $2,200.00 Well struck, rich silken fields and design features are accented by an overlying trace of delicate russet-gold. Only the most minor of imperfections are evident under close scrutiny with a glass. 1346 1921 Alabama 2x2. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $220.00 Deep golden obverse toning over well struck surfaces. Some scratches in Kilby's face. The reverse is fully Choice and lustrous. 1348 1921 Alabama 2x2 BU $325.00 A strong About Uncirculated. Gently cleaned long ago; 1922 Grant. Brilliant Uncirculated and a colorful Gem were it not for signs of a highly deceptive old cleaning beneath the toning. 2 pieces. 1349 1921 Alabama. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $1,400.00 The reverse strike is just a trifle soft at the center, otherwise this pale golden, rich satiny beauty would easily warrant a full Gem distinction. 1350 1921 Alabama. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $950.00 Lovely iridescent toning about the edge with frosty centers. Excellent lustre and a very good strike further define this coin. 1351 1921 Alabama. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $1,100.00 - and offering the visual allure of a higher grade. Wisps of lilac and russet highlight unbroken icy mint frost. 1352 1936 Albany. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $400.00 Here is a satiny example that is toned a pleasant blend of pale gold, olive-russet, and mauve. 1353 1936 Albany, 1937 Roanoke. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $550.00 - the latter despite a light obverse rim mark at 11:30. The first is toned a pale gold over satiny lustre. Champagne, russet, and sea-green blends in a most satisfying fashion on either side of this outstanding example. 1355 1937 Antietam. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $675.00 Pale golden toning over well kept surfaces. A decent strike adds to the excellent eye appeal. 1356 1937 Antietam.
