Very Fine-25 details. Extra 'S' under final 'S' in States, and an extra fraction bar. Only a touch of porosity and lots of detail, but previously cleaned and now beginning to retone. |

- perhaps a bit better. Remarkable glossy brown surfaces with a hint of prior mint color. The strike is razor sharp except on the areas on which the die was lapped. Some light granularity does not really detract from this lovely coin. A wonderful example of this early 19th Century date that would be a welcome addition to any Large Cent collection. |

1806 S.270. Mint State-60
|
MS-60 |
$5,250.00 |
A mostly brown with some hint of mint color on the reverse. A decent strike on both sides gives this coin its charm. The lustre is subdued under some light toning. The surfaces are hard and show no evidence of porosity. A respectable example of this single die variety known for this year. |
