Very Good-10. Here is a highly collectible example of America's first circulating Cent. The color is a medium grayish brown and the surfaces are a bit rough, which is typical. A rim bump is found at 11:00 on the reverse of the coin. The date and mottoes are complete and the all important chain is quite bold. Although far from perfect this is a respectable example of this very scarce...  more

2381 1795 S.75 (R-3). Lettered Edge VG-8 $450.00

Very Good-8. This variety has the top of the '5' embedded in the bottom of the bust. Steel brown surfaces show slight porosity, but not disturbingly so. A few dull rim marks can be found at either side. The reverse easily grades fine or better. A coin with much better eye appeal than would be expected for the grade.
2382 1795 S.78. Plain Edge F-12 $460.00

Fine-12. Medium chocolate brown surfaces have some deep olive and brick red deposits. The surfaces are granular but evenly so. Not without imperfections, but with good appeal for the grade.

- perhaps a bit better. Remarkable glossy brown surfaces with a hint of prior mint color. The strike is razor sharp except on the areas on which the die was lapped. Some light granularity does not really detract from this lovely coin. A wonderful example of this early 19th Century date that would be a welcome addition to any Large Cent collection.
