Here is a jewel-like Gold coin of the earliest U.S. design, enriched by lustre of a quality virtually unknown. Strike is exceptionally full with only a trace of adjustment marks on the obverse. Stars are arranged 8x5, the tiny '2' shows traces of an underlying '1' of unusual clarity.
