Pleasing, original surfaces exhibit abundant life in addition to olive-gold and lavender-gray toning. Here is a well-balanced and quite appealing example of this die engraver's error featured the 'A' in STATES punched over an erroneous 'E'. 2811 1795 O.119 (R-4). Two Leaves Under Wings. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $13,000.00 - and enjoying excellent overall definition. The obverse hair curls and reverse wing feathers are particularly sharp. Russet-gold toning clings to the stars and peripheral legends of this mostly silver-gray, evenly worn specimen. Struck from the advanced state of the dies, featuring a die crack through '0' in the date, making it appear like the letter 'Q'. 2816 1806 O.120 (R-3). Pointed 6. Stem Through Claw CH AU $11,000.00 Choice About Uncirculated, essentially Mint State. Here is a coin with the glowing mint frost of a Choice Uncirculated coin but that exhibits the lightest touch of friction at the high points of the devices. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $6,250.00 A magnificent strike is seen in such fine detail as the split left talon. Date is spaced '1 8 08' and three die cracks are well advanced. Magnificent deeply glowing silver lustre imparts boldest quality, highlighted by deep rose, iridescent blue and silver at the rims. NGC MS65. 2819 1819 O.111. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $1,300.00 - or slightly finer. Centers of this piece are silver and lightly toned, while the rose toning deepens as it approaches the rims on this frosty, lustrous specimen. Very well struck and, as such, a lovely example for a type set. 2820 1821 O.103. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $1,000.00 - with claims to Choice. Creamy white, flashy mint lustre abounds on this specimen toned in very light champagne and russet hues. Well struck. A bright and splendid looking example of the date. 2821 1824/1 O.101. High U in UNITED. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $4,250.00 Fantastic prooflike cartwheel gleam is made colorful by diffuse honey gold and pale iridescent blue-green. The strike must be seen to be properly appreciated, giving this amazing coin a near-perfection seldom encountered with early dates. 2822 1826 O.112. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $950.00 - virtually Choice. Fully lustrous surfaces are aglow with rich russet-gold toning on this well struck specimen. The lines seen in the reverse fields are actually the result of strong die clashing. 2823 1826 O.116a AU $110.00 About Uncirculated. Lustrous silver-gray surfaces exhibit three graffiti letters above the eagle's head; 1859'O' Liberty Seated. About Uncirculated. Light friction in the fields, with name and date lightly etched into the obverse fields. 2 pieces. 2824 1827 O.106. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $650.00 Steel gray surfaces are smooth and lustrous. A problem-free coin with good detail. 2825 1829 O.112a. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $650.00 - virtually Choice. Wonderful iridescent toning in shades of sea green, electric blue and violet bathe this coin's distinctly prooflike fields. Central devices are well struck and toned over in rose-gold iridescence. Although this is a common date and variety, this coin's sheer eye appeal makes it a very desirable specimen. 2826 1830 O.117. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $1,900.00 Charming gold and russet toning with a tinge of iridescent blue. Well preserved surfaces. A very nice strike for added appeal. 2827 1831 O.104. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $450.00 Glowing rose, blue and gold toning beautify this coin's lustrous surfaces. A touch of friction may be noted at the high points, but this coin is too lovely to not call Mint State! 2828 1831 O.108. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $350.00 - or virtually so. Here is a coin featuring the lustre of a Choice Mint State coin but with a touch of friction at the obverse high points. The reverse is fully Uncirculated and exhibits flashy mint lustre, as does the obverse. Both sides are also toned in subtle russet-gold at the peripheries. 2829 1831 O.110. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $650.00 Radiant mint lustre combines with toned borders to create a pleasing visual appeal. All details are quite distinct. 2830 1832 O.110. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $750.00 Frosty mint lustre engulfs the surfaces of this attractive specimen. The surfaces are mostly a pale silver-gray. A small spike is found protruding from the top of Liberty's cap, a diagnostic of this variety. 2831 1832 O.112 CH AU $400.00 Choice About Uncirculated. Lovely iridescent blue and gold toning over well struck surfaces. A very pleasing example. 2832 1833 O.101. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $2,600.00 Sea green and gold at the peripheries deeps to blue and transitions to lavender and rose toward the peripheries of this gorgeous, frosty specimen. Here is a coin with the strict, bold appeal of a Gem. 2833 1833 O.110. Large Stars, Broad Points CH AU $450.00 Choice About Uncirculated. Bold silver lustre shows hints of clear red-gold. A bold die line through 'C' in '50 C' connects to the final period. 2834 1834 O.109. Small Date, Small Letters. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $1,700.00 Decidedly prooflike fields reflect through sensational iridescent toning that manifests itself in hues of rose, violet, electric blue and gold. Very well struck and boasting a most striking appearance. 2835 1834 O.115. Small Date, Small Letters. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $4,900.00 Deeply toned surfaces reveal pristine details. Frosty mint lustre engulfs the surfaces of this beautiful example. A beautiful specimen of this two-year type with reeded edge and '50 CENTS' on the reverse. 2837 1837 CH EF $250.00 Choice Extremely Fine. Golden toning over pearl-gray, lustrous surfaces. Darker charcoal tones are to be found at the peripheries and covering the lower quarter of the reverse; 1838 Extremely Fine. Rich gray toning rings the obverse peripheries, while the reverse is toned in iridescent gray. Obverse center glossy silver from a past light cleaning. 2 pieces.
