Scarce in this condition. 2254 1917 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $260.00 - with claims to a Gem distinction. Pale tan-golden toning accents underlying velvet-like mint lustre. Evenly struck and appealing. 2255 1917'D' Reverse Mintmark EF $210.00 Extremely Fine. This generally pleasing, mark-free example shows very moderate wear appropriate to this grade. NGC XF40. 2256 1933'S' CH AU $410.00 Choice About Uncirculated and ever so close to the Mint State category. Full satiny bloom is framed by a wisp of gold at the peripheries. Only the slightest trace of high point friction is visible under close scrutiny. Quite scarce this nice. NGC AU58. 2257 1934, 1935, 1936. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $320.00 - and Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated (2) respectively. All enjoy rich satiny mint bloom beneath a matching blush of pale golden toning. 3 pieces. 2258 1934, 1937, 1940. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $135.00 - and Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated (2) respectively. All exhibit delicate golden toning. The second coin just borders on a full Gem classification. 3 pieces. 2259 1934'D' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $200.00 - and offering a hint of golden toning over a rich, icy-satin glow. Scarce at or above this quality level. 2260 1935, 1941. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $90.00 The former is bathed in satin-silk lustre. The latter enjoys golden toning over premium quality, velvet surfaces. 2 pieces. 2261 A Walking Liberty Half Dollar Octet CH AU $200.00 - comprised of: 1935'D', 1936, 1938, 1939, 1941'S', 1942, 1943 (2). All are Choice About Uncirculated or a trifle better, and retain an abundance of rich mint lustre. 8 pieces. 2262 1935'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $320.00 Silver-white, satin-frost bathes either side of this appealing coin. Areas of delicate russet toning embellish the reverse. Scarce. 2265 1936'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $200.00 - or better. A veil of delicate gold augments satiny underlying surfaces. The reverse is arguably that of a full Gem. 2266 1937, 1947 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $120.00 Both are lustrous, the first is toned in olive-gold while the second is silver-white. 2 pieces. 2267 1937'D' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $260.00 - or essentially so. Warm, satiny mint lustre is completed by a balanced overlying shade of pale golden toning. Scarce in this condition. 2268 1937'S' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $160.00 Well struck. Icy-satin bloom is accented by a hint of golden toning. Scarce. 2269 1937'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $160.00 This pale golden example is amply adorned in rich velvet-silk mint lustre. 2270 1938, 1939'D' VERY CH BU $210.00 Both are Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated and both enjoy a warm, satiny glow beneath the slightest hint of golden toning. 2 pieces. 2271 1939 Gem Brilliant Proof GEM BR PF $550.00 Bright and fully mirror-like with a touch of pale golden toning over the coin's bright fields and devices. Some microscopic gold flecks in the right obverse field tantalize the viewer. 2272 1939 Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $200.00 Here is a sharply struck example that is unencumbered by all but the most insignificant of microscopic defects. 2273 1939'S' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $105.00 - and enjoying fiery lavender-golden toning over luxuriant velvet-like mint bloom. The central strike, although not flat, could be a bit sharper. 2274 1940'S', 1943'S', 1944'S' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $120.00 All enjoy matching delicate golden toning over lovely satin-velvet mint bloom. In fact, were it not for some central striking softness typical of San Francisco Mint Half Dollars of this period, we would be tempted to call each of these coins full Gems. 3 pieces. 2275 1941 Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $60.00 Light toning has aggregated at the peripheries of this satiny smooth, fully lustrous coin. 2276 1941, 1942, 1942'S', 1945 CH BU $80.00 The first, second, and fourth are Choice Brilliant Uncirculated with claims to the Gem category. The third grades Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. All are nicely struck and exhibit at least some degree of golden toning. 4 pieces. 2277 1941, 1942, 1944, 1946. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $70.00 The first and second offer an essentially Gem obverse. The third is easily Very Choice but for a planchet depression at the upper right reverse. 4 pieces. 2278 1941'D', 1945, 1945'S'. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $80.00 - trio. All offer an above average strike complementing excellent surface quality. In fact, the second and third coins just border on a full Gem classification. 3 pieces. 2279 1942 Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $100.00 Unblushing silver lustre complements a satisfying strike on this wartime strike. 2280 1942, 1943, 1945, 1947 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $140.00 The first two are sharp and bright. The third and fourth are toned a pale to medium shade of gold on either side. 4 pieces. 2281 1942, 1946'S'. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $120.00 Both enjoy a shimmering satiny glow embellished by excellent surface quality. 2 pieces. 2282 1942'D', 1944'S'. Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $120.00 The former is a particularly sharp and attractive virtual Gem.
