1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. The Straight Tree. Noe 2 (R-5)
|
VF |
$675.00 |
41.2 grains. Very Fine, but this coin is very difficult to grade. Charcoal gray surfaces are generally smooth and attractive. Clipped down nearly to sixpence weight and an interesting historical remnant as such. A slight wave in the planchet, a relic of this coin's manufacture, has focused wear to the top of the tree on the obverse, nearly obscuring the tree in that area. |

1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. Monogram 'NE'. Noe 8 (R-4)
|
F to VF |
$600.00 |
34.2 grains. Fine to Very Fine. Planchet is wavy, resulting in uneven wear on this coin that is glossy from a past cleaning. Clipped down to less than sixpence weight! Also included is a 1930 Worcester's Celebration of Massachusetts Bay Tercentenary medallion featuring a Pine Tree Shilling obverse. 2 pieces. |

$1,150.00 |
Noe 11 (R-4). 58.5 grains. Fine. Surfaces are smooth and range from light silver-gray to medium gray. Some lacquer remnants are removable with a good solvent. Holed and plugged below the base of the tree. |

1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Small Planchet. Noe 28 (Rarity 6+)

$2,000.00 |
65.7 grains. Choice Fine. Here is a perfect circulated coin in terms of wear and overall eye appeal. There is, however, an ancient hole below the base of the tree. Right side of obverse, left reverse are weakly defined, with some fine planchet cracks in those areas. Here is an opportunity to acquire a very attractive example of this very rare variety. |
