1142 1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. The Straight Tree. Noe 2 (R-5) VF $675.00
1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. The Straight Tree. Noe 2 (R-5). 41.2 grains. Very Fine, but...
41.2 grains. Very Fine, but this coin is very difficult to grade. Charcoal gray surfaces are generally smooth and attractive. Clipped down nearly to sixpence weight and an interesting historical remnant as such. A slight wave in the planchet, a relic of this coin's manufacture, has focused wear to the top of the tree on the obverse, nearly obscuring the tree in that area.
1143 1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. Monogram 'NE'. Noe 8 (R-4) F to VF $600.00
1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. Monogram 'NE'. Noe 8 (R-4). 34.2 grains. Fine to Very Fine....
34.2 grains. Fine to Very Fine. Planchet is wavy, resulting in uneven wear on this coin that is glossy from a past cleaning. Clipped down to less than sixpence weight! Also included is a 1930 Worcester's Celebration of Massachusetts Bay Tercentenary medallion featuring a Pine Tree Shilling obverse. 2 pieces.
1144 1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. MASATVSETS. All N's Retrograde G $1,150.00
1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Large Planchet. MASATVSETS. All N's Retrograde. Noe 11 (R-4). 58.5 grains....
Noe 11 (R-4). 58.5 grains. Fine. Surfaces are smooth and range from light silver-gray to medium gray. Some lacquer remnants are removable with a good solvent. Holed and plugged below the base of the tree.
1145 1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Small Planchet. Noe 28 (Rarity 6+) CH F $2,000.00
1652 Pine Tree Shilling. Small Planchet. Noe 28 (Rarity 6+). 65.7 grains. Choice Fine. Here is a perfect...
65.7 grains. Choice Fine. Here is a perfect circulated coin in terms of wear and overall eye appeal. There is, however, an ancient hole below the base of the tree. Right side of obverse, left reverse are weakly defined, with some fine planchet cracks in those areas. Here is an opportunity to acquire a very attractive example of this very rare variety.

Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Farthing. Breen 213. Sea Beasts Below King, Stars...
Sea Beasts Below King, Stars in Legends. 81.1 grains. Fine. Both obverse and reverse are well struck and exhibit abundant remaining detail, with only the tops of PLEBS being worn into the rims. Surfaces are medium brown on the devices, while the fields are a darker coffee brown and only minutely porous. Splasher is small but shining a bright yellow in and around the crown. The obverse...  more

Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Farthing. 90.3 grains. Fine. Obverse is well detailed,...
90.3 grains. Fine. Obverse is well detailed, despite some porosity and planchet striae, while the reverse is a bit less strongly defined as a result of uniform porosity. Splasher is either totally absent, or more likely, has toned, like the rest of this coin, to a deep chestnut brown hue.
1148 Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Farthing. Breen 212 AB F $512.00
Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Farthing. Breen 212. Sea Beasts Below King, Masonic...
Sea Beasts Below King, Masonic Punctuation. 85.3 grains. About Fine. Smooth, generally chocolate brown surfaces are a bit deeper in hue in the fields. Right reverse is not well defined, while the brass splasher is not at all in evidence. Here is a satisfying example of these sometimes wretchedly preserved coppers.
1149 Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Farthing. Breen 212 AB F $450.00
Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Farthing. Breen 212. Sea Beasts Below King, Masonic...
Sea Beasts Below King, Masonic Punctuation. 73.4 grains. About Fine. The upper reaches of both sides are quite porous, taking out much of the detail in those areas, while nearly full denticulation is noted most everywhere else. Splasher is present but corroded. A planchet flaw is noted through coin at lower parts of both sides. There is enough ''meat'' on this coin to give the pioneering...  more

Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Farthing. 69.0 gns. Good. Perfectly smooth, chocolate...
69.0 gns. Good. Perfectly smooth, chocolate brown surfaces do not exhibit even a hint of porosity. Yellow brass splasher was positioned at edge of coin, nearly missing the crown on the obverse. A couple of minor stains on the reverse and a slight planchet wave should be noted. With the recent surge of interest in die varieties of this series, even well worn specimens like this have been...  more

Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Halfpenny. Vlack 1-A. Large Letters. 137.8 gns. Very...
Large Letters. 137.8 gns. Very Good. Smooth, chocolate brown surfaces are of a supremely attractive hue for circulated copper. Designs and legends are close to the rims, and the centers are more weakly defined at the centers than at the peripheries, as is usual. Here is wonderful specimen for type.
1152 Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Halfpenny. Vlack 1-A G to VG $500.00
Undated (circa 1667). St. Patrick (Mark Newbie) Halfpenny. Vlack 1-A. Large Letters. 107.6 gns. Good...
Large Letters. 107.6 gns. Good to Very Good. Perfectly smooth, chocolate brown surfaces are the rule on this problem-free coin. Peripheries are much stronger than the well worn centers, leaving little detail at the centers for attribution. A thin planchet crack starts at bottom rim and peters out towards the center of this coin.

Thick Planchet. Breen 186. 217.8 gns. Fine. Dark brown with hints of lighter olive-brown, this specimen exhibits essentially smooth surfaces. However, a number of tiny surface marks and rim bruises should be noted, as should a long planchet striation on the reverse.
1155 Undated (Circa 1694) London Elephant Token. LON DON. Breen 190 F $3,000.00
Undated (Circa 1694) London Elephant Token. LON DON. Breen 190. 136.9 gns. Fine, but unevenly worn...
136.9 gns. Fine, but unevenly worn due to some hits that also bent the coin slightly. 'LON' is clearly visible, but 'DON' is wholly absent. Here is a very respectable example of this very rare variant that is popularly known as the ''Godless'' variety since this reverse omits any reference to God!

202.0 grains. About Extremely Fine. A rather attractive, high grade specimen exhibiting much glowing yellow toning in and around the devices, the result of the unique mixture of Bath metal. Well centered and exhibiting the usual amount of porosity, but for a more severe patch around 'AMER' on reverse. Red verdigris in crown and at top of rose.
