Pale golden toning over moderately bagmarked surfaces. The strike is typical for this date. A die crack extends through most of the stars. Very scarce type with only 12,447 pieces struck. NCS VF Details, Improperly Cleaned. 2669 1847 AU $280.00 Strong Extremely Fine and approaching About Uncirculated in terms of wear. Lovely wheat gold surfaces exhibit subtle hairlines from a gentle cleaning evident on either side. A rim bruise is noted at the lower obverse. 2670 1847'O' CH VF $260.00 Choice Very Fine Details, with a great deal of detail, but with many obverse scratches. 2671 1879 VF $260.00 Very Fine. This coin's circulation is quite moderate but the surfaces show the hairlines created by a somewhat vigorous cleaning. 2672 1879'S' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $425.00 Excellent mint lustre over moderately abraded surfaces. A great strike adds to this coin's charm. A couple of light rim tics do not detract that much from this coin's appeal. Lustre is substantial, a glass finds tiny marks on Liberty's face, some hairlines. 2674 1880 CH AU $290.00 Choice About Uncirculated. A pleasing example showing most of the original Mint lustre and a sharp strike. Some light bagmarks are evident on the obverse surfaces. 2675 1880 CH EF $265.00 Choice Extremely Fine. This wheat gold example shows good frosty lustre in the protested areas. 2676 1880 VF $265.00 Very Fine. Overall detail is very full, circulation is appropriate for this grade, some light marks are to be found. Most likely put to use as a pocket piece. 2686 1882 Brilliant Uncirculated BU $290.00 This satisfying coin boasts a wealth of reflective original lustre that gives it the boldest visual appeal. 2687 1882 CH AU $270.00 Choice About Uncirculated, on the threshold of Mint State.
