Choice Very Fine. The B-18 is one of the rarest varieties for the date, Bowers estimated less than 65 examples exist. The variety is nearly always found with a heavy reverse die crack between the 'E' and 'D' through the left wing and into the top of the shield. Good. This interesting Dollar was long in active circulation. A slightly convex planchet resulted in disproportionate wear at the centers but this lightly toned, silvery coin is otherwise free of special problems. |
