All pre-sales bids at Stack's are Maximum Bids.
Maximum Bids are amounts that represent the most a bidder is willing to pay
for a lot. If you place a bid, the current bid level will not
necessarily increase to your entered amount, but instead our system will bid
on your behalf only enough to keep you the winning bidder up to your entered, maximum
bid level.
If you place a bid, and it is immediately outbid by another bidder, it may
be because the other bidder has a higher maximum bid in place. Our system
may be automatically bidding on their behalf up to their maximum bid. You
can enter an increased Maximum Bid on a particular lot as many times as you
like; the system will simply disregard your prior, lower Maximum Bid(s).
